Developing my plan


As a young teenager, I put on a few pounds, everyone said it was puppy fat and that I would lose it as I got older. This did happen

in my later teens, however then I started dating. Going to the movies, enjoying popcorn during the film, then afterwards stopping for something to eat. Slowly the weight crept back on. 

I finished school/college and the boyfriend and started working. My social life changed, getting together evenings with work colleagues or friends for a quick drink or meal. It became impossible to control my weight.

Eating habits change when eating with others

No matter how hard I tried to diet, when eating with others you change your eating habits and the amount you eat and the weight starts to pile on. 

When I went into Nursing, during my training and afterwards I had to put the nutritional knowledge I learned into practice. I had to discuss many times with patients their eating habits, and set them up on new diet regimes.

What I taught made sense however, I never really practiced what I preached. I was working 12 hour shifts, had a busy social life and so continued to struggle with my weight. It would go up and down like a yo yo.

After meeting my partner, we both decided it was time to re-evaluate our lifestyle and eating habits.
